The launch for the Dance Connect exhibition took place at the Firkin Crane on Tuesday 24th April 2007.
The exhibition was officially launched by Deputy Lord Mayor of Cork, Mick O’Connell and by Deirdre Scully, who was about to take up the position of Specialist in Disability Services for the HSE South.
The launch was well attended and supported with many of the children and adults from the Dance Connect classes in attendance, as well as friends and family. Also in attendance were Ann O’Connor (Arts and Health programme co-ordinator HSE), Paul McCarthy, manager of the Firkin Crane and Ciaran Lynch (TD). The event was featured in a follow up article in the Evening Echo.
A huge thank you to all who attended and for all the feedback written into the comments book over the course of the exhibition; some of which is featured here .
